HAWAI, 15 May: A team of officials from the Directorate of Census Operations, led by Deputy Registrar General (C&T) Banridor Sohtun, visited Anjaw district to review the ongoing houselisting operations in the district.
The team held a meeting with district census officials and field functionaries to assess the progress of the houselisting exercise being conducted across the district.
During the inspection, the officials conducted field visits along with Additional District Census Officer John Mitkong, Statistical Investigator Narmee Jamoh and Technical Assistant Peter Sonar, and assessed the ground-level implementation of census activities. They also interacted with field officials engaged in enumeration work.
During inspection of Hawai urban areas, the officials interacted with the supervisor and enumerators of Hawai Urban Block 1 and 2. The team lauded them for carrying out the houselisting operations sincerely.
The visiting team was apprised that Manchal circle has become the first circle in Anjaw to successfully complete the houselisting work under Phase I of Census 2027.
