I would like to draw the attention of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to an issue affecting many patients seeking treatment outside the state.

It is reported that many beneficiaries whose health insurance coverage was initially created under the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) have been automatically transferred to the Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana (PMAAY) without the knowledge or consent of the beneficiaries.

While such a transition may have been intended to streamline healthcare coverage, it has reportedly created difficulties for many patients.

The issue is particularly serious for patients undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Many beneficiaries have found that the PMAAY provides limited benefits compared to what they expected under the CMAAY. As a result, patients and their families are often left to bear significant expenses while already facing the emotional and financial burden of serious illnesses such as cancer.

There is growing concern among beneficiaries regarding the rationale behind the automatic transfer and whether adequate safeguards were put in place to ensure that patients would not lose access to benefits previously available under the CMAAY.

I therefore request the chief minister and the authorities concerned to review the matter, clarify the policy regarding the transfer of beneficiaries from CMAAY to PMAAY, and ensure that patients from Arunachal receive adequate healthcare support at premier institutions such as Tata Memorial Hospital.

I hope this matter will receive urgent attention in the interest of the people of Arunachal.
