Editor,

I would like to express my thoughts regarding the educational qualification for direct recruitment of sub-treasury officer (STO) by the APPSC.

The exam pattern, syllabus and the optional subjects of both treasury officer (TO) and STO are the same, and if mathematics graduates are eligible for TO, then why are maths graduates not mentioned in the eligibility criteria/educational qualification for STO?

In graduation course, mathematics subject already includes statistics in its syllabus. So does that imply that maths graduates are also eligible for STO post as they have mentioned statistics as educational qualification?

I would like to request the APPSC to clarify this matter.

Aspiring candidate,
