KOLORIANG, 14 Oct: The Kurung Kumey district administration, in coordination with the public works department, Koloriang division, removed illegal structures and encroachments from the Right of Way (RoW) of the proposed Ring Road at Koloriang.

Illegal structures, including boundary walls, houses and other encroachments falling within the designated RoW, were removed despite a few bottlenecks encountered during the exercise.

The joint eviction drive was carried out after prior notice to clear obstructions along the designated road alignment so that the project can proceed without hindrance.

The district administration has appealed to the public to extend continued cooperation in the development of the township and to refrain from fresh encroachments on government land and public road corridors. (DIPRO)
