SEPPA, 19 Aug: With East Kameng assigned a target of 1,346 Lakhpati Didis for financial year 2025-26, deputy commissioner Yashaswini B urged all HoDs, elected representatives and implementing agencies to adopt a coordinated, result-oriented and time-bound approach to achieve the target.
The DC made the appeal after reviewing the progress of the initiative and strategies for achieving the target during a meeting of the district-level steering committee on Lakhpati Didi held here on Wednesday.
She stressed that effective convergence and timely delivery of government schemes would be crucial for enhancing household incomes and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women.
The meeting stressed the need for strengthening convergence among government departments to facilitate SHGs and their members in accessing relevant schemes and programmes related to livelihood promotion, skill development, enterprise development, credit, infrastructure, market linkages and other income-generating activities.
District Mission manager Khyoda Rajan made a detailed presentation covering the objectives, progress, eligibility criteria, key indicators, implementation strategies and stakeholder responsibilities under the Lakhpati Didi initiative.
The meeting was attended by HoDs, the East Kameng ZPC, ZPMs and other stakeholders. (DIPRO)
