TEZU, 10 Jun: Lohit deputy commissioner K. N. Damo has urged school heads and teachers to make focused and result-oriented efforts to improve academic outcomes in the district.
While reviewing the academic performance of schools at a district-level education review meeting here on Tuesday, the DC emphasized the need for remedial classes for academically weak students, regular parent-teacher meetings, timely completion of the syllabus, close monitoring of students’ progress, and better coordination among school authorities, teachers, and parents.
He further called upon all schools to identify learning gaps at an early stage and provide the necessary academic support to students so that the overall quality of education in Lohit district can be enhanced.
During the meeting, DDSE Tumngam Nyodu presented a detailed overview of the district’s educational status, including the CBSE results for the academic session 2025-26. The district recorded a pass percentage of 64.79% in Class X and 76.34% in Class XII.
After a threadbare discussion, the members present at the meeting resolved to strengthen the education system and improve the academic performance of students across the district. (DIPRO)
