PAMPOLI, 2 Sep: East Kameng deputy commissioner Yashaswini B conducted a random inspection of the health & wellness centre here on Tuesday, in the company of DMO Dr. DK Mijiji and DRCHO Dr. Dirang Pizi, to assess staff attendance, functioning of the centre and the quality of healthcare services being delivered to the community.

During the inspection, a special health camp was underway, offering a range of preventive and diagnostic services, including NCD screening for early detection of hypertension, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases, besides immunisation services for eligible beneficiaries, TB screening, and other routine healthcare services.

The deputy commissioner reviewed staff attendance, availability of essential services and equipment, and the overall functioning of the facility, and interacted with health personnel and members of the public regarding service delivery.

The efforts of the health team in taking essential healthcare and screening services closer to the community were appreciated. (DIPRO)
