TAWANG, 7 Oct: Dhagpa Pangchen United won the second Monyul Super League (MSL) defeating Mon Dirang FC 2-1 in a keenly contested final at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium here on Tuesday.
Dhagpa Pangchen United's Lobsang Wangchu Damo was declared player of the tournament, while Mon Dirang FC's Phurpa Tsering was named emerging player of the tournament.
Tawang United FC's Genden Tashi was adjudged as the best goalkeeper and Samson Keishing of Mon Dirang FC finished as the highest scorer.
The 'Best Fair Play Team award went to Bomdila FC.
Addressing the gathering during the closing ceremony, MLA Mohesh Chai emphasised the importance of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork, leadership, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
The ceremony concluded with the post-match presentation and prize distribution.
