LIKABALI, 22 Jun: A fire safety awareness and demonstration programme was conducted at the DC office complex here in Lower Siang district on Monday by the Fire and Emergency Services Department to educate government officials and staffers on fire prevention and emergency response measures.

During the programme, led by Station Fire Officer Duge Ete and his team, the fire and emergency services team demonstrated essential fire safety measures, including proper use of fire extinguishers and techniques for handling fire-related emergencies.

Participants actively took part in a live fire demonstration, gaining practical knowledge on responding effectively during fire incidents.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Mokar Riba appreciated the Fire and Emergency Services Department for conducting the informative programme. He emphasised that such awareness and practical demonstrations are crucial for ensuring safety in workplaces and daily life, and encouraged officials to apply the knowledge gained during the training.

An interactive session, reinforcing the importance of preparedness, vigilance, and adherence to fire safety protocols was also held.
