BASAR, 30 Aug: The VKV's Basar branch in Leparada district on Sunday organised a 'shraddhanjali karyakram' in memory of Maa A Balakrishnan, former all-India president of the Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
Former MLA Gokar Basar, who attended the programme, highlighted the significant contributions and dedicated service of Balakrishnan towards the development and welfare of the Northeast region, particularly Arunachal Pradesh.
He remembered his commitment to the ideals and values of Vivekananda Kendra and his efforts in strengthening the organisation's presence and activities in the region.
Arunachal Swimming Association honorary general secretary Pinku Basar was also present on the occasion.
The programme was organised as a tribute to the life, contributions and enduring legacy of Balakrishnan.
