PASIGHAT, 13 Jul: The Spearhead Gunners of the Indian Army conducted a ‘Basic UAS and C-UAS’ training programme for approximately 120 NCC cadets of the 22 AP NCC Battalion, here in East Siang district.

The training was conducted from 8-10 July at the 22 AP NCC Battalion here, and from 11-12 July at the Sigar military station.

The programme included lecture-cum-demonstrations on UAS and C-UAS drills, introduction to drones and their components, simulator flying, real-time drone flying, equipment display, drone display, and repair demonstrations. The cadets were also acquainted with the employment of drones in surveillance and reconnaissance, along with the basics of countering drone threats through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions.

 The training provided the cadets with exposure to emerging drone technology and enhanced their understanding of the role of UAS and C-UAS in modern military operations.

The enthusiastic participation of the cadets reflected their keen interest in learning and adopting new technologies.

Such initiatives reaffirm the Indian Army’s commitment towards promoting technical awareness, innovation and skill development among the youths while strengthening its bond with the young generation of Arunachal Pradesh. (DIPRO)
