DAPORIJO, 30 Jun: In a move to ensure public safety and maintain cleanliness in the township, the Upper Subansiri district administration has issued a standing order, directing owners of stray animals to immediately remove their livestock from public places, particularly the busy market area here.

The town magistrate has given animal owners seven days to collect and keep their animals in proper shelters. The administration warned that after the expiry of the seven-day deadline, any stray animal found roaming in the township, especially in the market area, will be seized and put up for public auction in accordance with the standing order.

The administration appealed to all livestock owners to cooperate with the directive and act responsibly to prevent inconvenience to pedestrians, motorists, and traders.

The initiative is aimed at improving public safety, sanitation, and smooth movement of traffic within the township.
