PASIGHHAT, 13 Oct: State BJP president Kaling Moyong described Pasighat as a "Mini India," where people belonging to different religions, cultures and communities live together in peace, mutual respect and brotherhood. He emphasised that the town's diversity is reflected in its religious institutions, which serve as symbols of faith and coexistence.

He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a new building of the Sri Sri Anandamoyee Kalibari (Kali Mandir) here on Tuesday.

Moyong said that the construction of the new building was supported under the Social Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) for the financial year 2023-24, during his tenure as MLA.

He appreciated the efforts of the temple committee and local residents in making effective use of the allocated funds to develop the infrastructure. He also highlighted the provision of drinking water facilities for the convenience of devotees and visitors.

Moyong said that the town's diversity is reflected in its religious institutions, which serve as symbols of faith and coexistence.

"The presence of places of worship, including a Gurudwara, Sri Sri Anandamoyee Kalibari, Balaji Mandir, churches, a mosque and the Kachari Community Mathou Mandir, reflects the inclusive spirit of Pasighat," he said. The former MLA also said that the respect for different faiths and traditions strengthens the bonds among communities and contributes to lasting peace and harmony.

He extended greetings and best wishes to the residents and devotees ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja and Kali Puja celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Sri Sri Anandamoyee Kalibari Committee has been making preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja and Kali Puja celebrations.
