HAWAI, 16 Jun: A sensitisation meeting on the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Programme (APEDP) 5.0 was convened here in Anjaw district on Tuesday under the aegis of the district administration, with the objective of disseminating information regarding the flagship entrepreneurship initiative of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and mobilising stakeholders to encourage wider participation from the district.
The programme witnessed the participation of heads of departments (HoDs), zilla parishad members (ZPMs), gram panchayat chairpersons (GPCs), representatives of panchayati raj institutions (PRIs), community-based organisations (CBOs), and other stakeholders from across the district.
Addressing the participants, SDO Dakli Gara highlighted the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district, and called upon all stakeholders to actively support deserving youths and innovators by facilitating awareness and outreach at the grassroots level.
This was followed by a comprehensive presentation on the APEDP 5.0 by MMVAPFP assistant fellow Sidharth D, covering the vision and objectives of the programme, eligibility criteria, application process, incubation support, seed funding provisions, and various financial and non-financial benefits available to selected startups.
The presentation also highlighted the programme’s emphasis on innovation, scalability, and sustainable enterprise development, while encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs from Anjaw district to take advantage of the opportunity.
Particular emphasis was laid on the collective responsibility of the district administration, line departments, PRI representatives, and community organisations in ensuring extensive dissemination of information throughout the district.
The participants were encouraged to conduct awareness activities at the circle, block, and village levels, utilise official and personal communication channels, promote the initiative through social media, and support outreach efforts through hoardings, banners, public meetings, and community engagement, so that potential entrepreneurs, particularly youths, become aware of the programme and are encouraged to apply.
Constructive feedback and suggestions were shared by the Hawai North ZPM and gram panchayat chairpersons present at the meeting. They appreciatedthe initiative and underscored the need for sustained awareness campaigns to maximise participation from remote areas of the district.
The session also featured experience sharing and observations from various HoDs, who expressed their commitment to supporting the objectives of the APEDP 5.0 by leveraging their respective departmental networks and field-level engagements to identify and encourage innovative individuals and aspiring entrepreneurs.
District Planning Officer Ozing Gao appealed for coordinated efforts among departments, PRI institutions, and community stakeholders to ensure that the benefits of the APEDP 5.0 reach every eligible and deserving youth across Anjaw district.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, and encouraged all eligible innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs to submit their applications under the APEDP 5.0 before the deadline of 20 July, 2027.
