BOMDILA, 10 Jul: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar reviewed the financial and physical progress of the 12 ongoing projects being implemented in different parts of the district under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) and the Buddhist Development Plan (BDP).

During the review meeting held at the DC’s office here on Friday, executing departments were given timelines to complete the allotted works while maintaining quality standards.

Earlier, the annual action plan for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) 2026-27 was finalised in a meeting of the District Task Force (DTF).

Chairing the meeting, the DC urged the departments to coordinate with the Forest and Panchayati Raj Departments for plantation activities and encouraged  all line departments to come up with innovative ideas to become role models in implementing the scheme.

Dr Kumar also advised all departments to route official information and event coverage through the district information and public relations office for effective dissemination of information.

He further asked the Police Department to adopt more innovative approaches such as the ‘Choo-Man-Tar’ app. The Choo-Man-Tar app, developed by the West Kameng Police Department and funded under the BBBP, teaches children about good touch and bad touch through interactive games.

Women and Child Development Deputy Director RT Deru delivered a presentation, highlighting the roles and responsibilities of each line department involved in the implementation of the BBBP drive.
