NAMSAI, 11 Jun: The Namsai district administration, in collaboration with Startup India of the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park, organised a TEJAS workshop at the multipurpose cultural hall here on Thursday to promote entrepreneurship and empower local business owners.

The programme witnessed the participation of aspiring entrepreneurs, SHG members, artisans, students and job seekers from across the district.

Deputy Commissioner CR Khampa encouraged the participants to utilise local resources and innovation to build sustainable enterprises and become job creators.

District Planning Officer Dr Keshab Sharma briefed the gathering on various government schemes, including the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swavalamban Yojana, NLM-EDP, and Atmanirbhar initiatives.

Representatives from Startup India, Rishi Dewan and Simran Hasija, elaborated startup opportunities, funding support, and the national vision of promoting entrepreneurship.

APIIP officials Manish Mall and Vikas Sharma highlighted ease of doing business and startup facilitation in Arunachal Pradesh.

The resource persons also shared information on the PMFME, ODOP, PMEGP and other entrepreneurship support schemes.
