Editor,

On 20 September, the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) conducted the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2026.

The address of exam centre provided by the APSSB was very vague and it did not provide the exact location of the exam centre in the admit card. For instance, my admit card mentioned the address as 'Global Academy, Naharlagun'. Now here comes the question: which Global Academy? There is a high possibility that there are more than one institution having this very same name in Naharlagun.

Google map shows the location somewhere in Lekhi village, so, following the map, I reached the exact spot, only to discover that there are some shops but there is no school named 'Global Academy'. Shopkeepers and locals informed that the school has been shifted to another location near the TRIHMS, which is almost 7 km from the one shown in the map. Many aspirants, including myself, were searching here and there for the exam centre without any personal vehicle or two-wheeler.

I being new to Itanagar met another aspirant who was also new here. We both reserved an autorickshaw and finally, after enquiring at many locations, we saw a school called Global Academy just behind the TRIHMS. Exhausted and frustrated, we entered the gate at 10:29 am, just before the closing time. In my exam room of 12 students, two were absent. What if they missed the exam because of the vague language used by the APSSB? Who is going to be accountable for their career?

The APSSB should have properly mentioned the address details in the following manner - Global Academy, Prem Nagar, Naharlagun - and added the locality and street name, or at least should have given the landmark: near TRIHMS hospital.

Vaguely mentioning an address has indeed caused confusion and left the aspirants guessing as to which place the APSSB intended to mean. Furthermore, there are high chances that many aspirants missed the exam because of the inadequate address provided in the admit card.
