Editor,

Recently, the APPSC released the syllabus for combined technical exams for the posts of ADO, HDO, FO, etc. Surprisingly, the posts of DTO and TIO were missing from the list.

DTO (Tourism) and TIO are also technical posts.

How can the state government and the APPSC be uninterested in recruiting DTOs and TIOs, whereas these officials are responsible for promotion of tourism in the state, which in turn brings forex and revenue for the state?

It is out of comprehension why our state government is neglecting such an important department when our state has huge tourism potential. Many district tourism departments are running with the help of DTO in-charge.

For many years, unemployed tourism youths have been eagerly waiting for advertisement of DTO and TIO posts, but the recent notification of the APPSC is making us frustrated and disappointed.

If our own government is not interested in recruiting DTOs and TIOs, then kindly tell us what to do with our tourism degree and diploma.

I hope that, along with other technical posts, advertisement for the posts of DTO and TIO will also be released.
