DAPORIJO, 2 Jul: The inspiring journey of Yater Nirin from Aki Nirin village in Dumporijo constituency has become a shining example of how rural livelihood initiatives are transforming lives in Upper Subansiri district.

Nirin is ably aided by her husband, and both of them run an SHG.

After availing a loan through their SHG under the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), the couple initially ventured into fish farming. Encouraged by the good returns from fisheries, they gradually expanded into poultry farming by installing a modern incubator. They have also diversified into cultivating blue tea, further strengthening their income.

Today, the family earns a handsome livelihood from their farming activities and is able to support their household independently. Their success has inspired many other rural families to explore sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Speaking about their journey, Yater Nirin said that the ArSRLM has supported them at every stage of building their farming enterprise. She particularly acknowledged the guidance and encouragement provided by Dumporijo Block Mission Manager Jury Nasi, whose continuous support helped them expand their livelihood activities.

 While expressing gratitude to the ArSRLM, she appealed to the state government and the departments concerned to extend Atmanirbhar schemes and financial assistance to progressive farmers, so they can further expand their agricultural and allied activities, increase production, and generate additional employment opportunities in rural areas.

The success story of Yater Nirin and her husband demonstrates how timely financial assistance, proper guidance, and determination can empower rural families to achieve self-reliance and contribute to the economic development of the district.
