PASIGHAT, 1 Aug: The Adi Baptist Union (ABU) -a religious organisation headquartered in Pasighat in East Siang district – has extended relief assistance to more than 140 flood-affected households in Lower Siang and East Siang districts.

The relief distribution covered several villages in Koyu circle in Lower Siang district, including Koyu, Kadu, Rote,

 Tabiripo, and nearby villages. Assistance was also provided to flood-affected families in Ledum, Korang, Sido, and other villages in East Siang district.

The relief programme was conducted under the guidance of  ABU executive secretary Rev Besing Ering and ABU president Maktil Apum.

The distribution was carried out on 31 July and 1 August, covering a total of 15 villages. Along with distributing financial assistance, the ABU team also offered prayers for the affected families, seeking god’s comfort, protection, strength, and hope during this difficult time.

The relief fund was raised through contributions from well-wishers and members of the ABU across its ten pastorate circles.

The ABU expressed gratitude to all the contributors whose generous support made the relief mission possible, and reaffirmed its commitment to serving communities in times of need.
