PASIGHAT, 8 Aug: Auditions for Miss Lu:ne 2026-27 were held at Gidi Notko here in East Siang district on Saturday.

A total of 19 contestants participated in the selection process, of which 15 will be shortlisted for the next round.

The grand finale, scheduled to be held on 12 September, will feature four rounds, along with five additional subtitles recognising contestants in different categories, organising committee chairperson Gena Borang Perme said. She also said that a special 'secret subtitle' has been introduced to build anticipation for the finale.

Judge Amoni Diru, addressing the contestants, encouraged them to look beyond the competitive aspect of the pageant and support one another. She urged the participants to "empower each other and lift together," highlighting confidence, solidarity and mutual encouragement.

Miss Lu:ne is envisioned as a platform for young women to build confidence, showcase their talents and personalities, and express their individuality.
