SEPPA, 22 Jul: A training programme on the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) for panchayati raj institution (PRI) leaders was conducted here in East Kameng district on Wednesday to strengthen grassroots implementation of the flagship rural development mission.

The programme was chaired by ZPC Pai Pizi Yangfo, and coordinated by Rural Development Deputy Director Laxmi Dodum.

Dodum emphasised the importance of building the capacity of PRI representatives for effective implementation of VB-G RAM G, particularly in the challenging geographical conditions of East Kameng. She encouraged the participants to actively engage in the sessions and have their doubts clarified to ensure better execution of the scheme at the grassroots level.

The technical session was conducted by Bana BDO Rakham Langdo, who elaborated the mission’s institutional framework, financial management, planning process, transparency and accountability mechanisms, implementation guidelines, and the roles and responsibilities of the PRIs under the VB-GRAM G and the PMAY-G.

The training was attended by all ZPMs of East Kameng, BDOs, GPCs, GPMs, executive officers (RE), and officials of the Department of Rural Development.

In her concluding remarks, ZPC Yangfo urged the PRI leaders to effectively apply the knowledge gained during the training and work in close coordination with the Department of Rural Development to ensure transparent, efficient, and successful implementation of VB-G RAM G across the district. (DIPRO)
