ITANAGAR, 13 Aug: The 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC organised blood donation awareness marches on 11 and 12 August, followed by a blood donation camp on 13 August.
NCC senior division and senior wing cadets of DNGC, Don Bosco College and NERIST actively participated in the programme.
On 11 August, and awareness rally was organised at DNGC, with NCC cadets from DNGC and Don Bosco College taking part. A second rally was held on 12 August at the NERIST, where NCC cadets participated enthusiastically.
Through marches, the cadets reached out to the community and highlighted how voluntary blood donation can help save lives and support patients in need. The marches focused on spreading awareness about the importance of blood donation, encouraging people to come forward as voluntary blood donors.
The programme culminated in a voluntary blood donation camp on 13 August at RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar.
NCC cadets and PI staff voluntarily donated blood, contributing to the availability of blood for patients in need.
The initiative demonstrated the NCC's commitment to community service, social responsibility and civic engagement.
