NAHARLAGUN, 13 Jun: In preparation for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, a comprehensive hands-on training programme for booth level officers (BLOs) and election officials of the 13-Itanagar Assembly constituency was held at the mini secretariat here on Friday.
The programme brought together senior election officials, including Papum Pare DC-cum-DEO Lobsang Tsering, ERO Dani Rikang, AEROs Khoda Bath, Tamo Dadda and Taba Milka, along with master trainer Dr Sandip Banerjee and Election Officer Nabam Tadap.
In his address, the DEO underscored the importance of the SIR exercise in strengthening the electoral process and ensuring that every eligible citizen is properly enrolled. He also assured the BLOs of full support from the district administration during field operations.
Master trainer Dr Banerjee led the technical session and guided the participants through the procedures, workflows and responsibilities involved in the revision exercise.
The BLOs actively participated in interactive discussions and sought clarifications on field-level challenges and procedural matters. (DIPRO)
