SEPPA, 1 Jun: A refresher training programme on the preparedness for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 was conducted for booth level officers (BLOs) here in East Kameng district on Monday.
The programme was chaired by District Election Officer (DEO) Yashaswini B, and attended by the deputy district election officer, returning officer, assistant electoral registration officers, and other election officials.
Dr Sandip Banerjee participated virtually as the resource person, and delivered a comprehensive session on the BLO app and various operational aspects of SIR-2026.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity of the BLOs and strengthen their understanding of electoral roll revision procedures, field verification processes, and effective use of digital tools.
Addressing the participants, the DEO emphasised the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring accurate and error-free electoral rolls, and urged all officials to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, enabling the participants to gain understanding of operational and technical issues related to the forthcoming revision exercise. (DIPRO)
