NAMSAI, 11 Jun: A virtual training programme on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was conducted at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall here on Thursday.
The training was attended by electoral registration officers, assistant electoral registration officers, supervisors and booth level officers (BLOs) of the district.
The programme aimed at familiarising the election functionaries with the procedures and guidelines for effective conduct of the SIR exercise.
During the programme, officials participated in a virtual training session and received detailed instructions regarding electoral roll revision, voter verification, and field-level implementation of the SIR process.
As part of the programme, SIR-related materials and documents were distributed to the BLOs to facilitate smooth and efficient execution of the revision exercise across the district.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring an accurate and inclusive electoral roll through the active participation of all election functionaries. (DIPR)
