NIRJULI, 1 Sep: A weeklong boot camp titled 'Semiconductor and Chip Design Technology (RTL, IP Integration & SoC Signoff)' was inaugurated at the NERIST here on Tuesday.
It is being organised by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Itanagar, in association with the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST).
The inaugural programme was attended by NERIST Director Prof Narendranath S, NIELET Director (i/c) RK Bigensana Singh, NERIST Dean (Administration) Prof M Chandrasekaran, Prof M Marjit Singh from the NERIST's computer science and engineering department, and CSE Head Dr M Kathing.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Narendranath highlighted the growing importance of semiconductor and chip design technologies, and the need for industry-oriented technical skills.
The boot camp aims to provide participants with practical exposure to RTL design, IP integration, SoC architecture and signoff methodologies. A total of 182 students have registered for the programme.
