ITANAGAR, 18 Aug: Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Gedam Don passed away at the age of 47 years due to illness on 17 August.

He is survived by his wife and four children.

The officials of the directorate of women and child development deeply mourned the untimely demise of Don.

On Tuesday, they held a condolence meeting and observed two minutes' silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

"The valuable services rendered by Don to the department will always be remembered with respect and gratitude," WCD director C. Tangjang said in a condolence message.

Don joined government service as CDPO in 2012 and served the department for more than 13 years with utmost sincerity and dedication, he said.

They also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for them to bear the irreparable loss.

Don hailed from Gigi village in Kamle district.
