ZIRO, 20 Aug: The Lower Subansiri district administration convened a key coordination meeting on the special intensive revision (SIR) for the 2026 electoral roll here on Thursday.

The session was held in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, and electoral roll observer Vivek HP, among others.

Electoral Registration Officer Radhe Tatung provided the primary briefing on the operational roadmap for the SIR exercise in Ziro, detailing field verification protocols and procedural timelines designed to ensure an accurate voter registry.

Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Hibu Kapi moderated the overall session, guiding discussions between administrative bodies and party members.

Delegates from local political organisations, including the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress, shared their ground-level observations and raised specific operational concerns regarding voter enrolment and verification procedures.

In response, HP emphasised the necessity of tight inter-departmental collaboration and active communication with party agents. The DC on her part assured the attendees that all suggestions presented would be integrated to maintain complete transparency throughout the revision exercise.
