ANINI, 27 Aug: The district-level Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) 2026 was held at the Government Upper Primary School (GUPS) in Anguli here in Dibang Valley district on Thursday, with the objective of fostering scientific temper, curiosity, creativity, innovation, and mathematical aptitude among school students.

The programme brought together students from various schools across Dibang Valley, providing them with a platform to showcase their knowledge, scientific understanding, and problem-solving abilities through science quiz, science exhibition and mathematics Olympiad competitions.

Conducted under the chairmanship of the DDSE, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of students and teachers. The competitions were evaluated by ADO Duyu Udi, assistant auditor Ruchu Tacho, and District Tourism Officer Lamwang Aran, who assessed the participants on knowledge, presentation, creativity, scientific approach, accuracy and overall performance.

In the science quiz, VKV Anini secured the first position, followed by GUPS Anguli in the second and NSCBAV GUPS Thyee in the third position.

In the science exhibition, VKV Anini emerged first, while NSCBAV GUPS Punli and NSCBAV GUPS Ranli secured the second and third position, respectively.

In the mathematics Olympiad, NSCBAV GUPS Ranli emerged the winner, with GUPS Anguli securing the runner-up position. (DIPRO)
