The incident reportedly occurred at about 8:55 in the morning. The Naharlagun fire station was immediately informed and fire-fighting personnel rushed to the spot. The blaze damaged clothes, the false ceiling, electrical appliances, furniture and other articles stored in the housekeeping room. The fire remained confined to that room. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The building is owned by former Itanagar Municipal Corporation mayor Tame Phassang. Police sources added that no injury was reported and there was no loss of life. Further investigation into the cause of the incident is underway, the police added. Fire breaks out in hotel storeroom

NAHARLAGUN, 28 Aug: A fire broke out in the housekeeping clothes storeroom on the third floor of Hotel Dhasang in Barapani here on Friday morning.

The incident reportedly occurred at about 8:55 in the morning. The Naharlagun fire station was immediately informed and fire-fighting personnel rushed to the spot.

The blaze damaged clothes, the false ceiling, electrical appliances, furniture and other articles stored in the housekeeping room. The fire remained confined to that room.
