Pema Khandu announced that the state government will invest Rs. 7,834 crore during 2026-29 to strengthen roads, rural connectivity, power and other key infrastructure. The government aims to build safer, stronger and more resilient infrastructure across Arunachal Pradesh. Of the total investment, Rs. 2,334 crore will be invested under Phase-II of the Chief Minister's Comprehensive State Road Development Plan. The road development plan will focus on upgrading roads in district headquarters, townships and the capital region, the Chief Minister announced. Another Rs. 2,000 crore will be spent under the Comprehensive State Rural Road Development Programme, with the aim of providing all-weather connectivity to uncovered habitations. A further Rs. 2,000 crore will be invested under the Comprehensive State Power Development Programme. The power programme will focus on modernising power infrastructure and improving electricity supply. While massive infrastructure development is set to take place, the state government's commitment to taking the people along and seeking their participation should actually translate into reality. The days ahead will determine whether these words translate into action. The Chief Minister's Independence Day speech heavily focused on infrastructure development.

Pema Khandu announced that the state government will invest Rs. 7,834 crore during 2026-29 to strengthen roads, rural connectivity, power and other key infrastructure.
