ITANAGAR, 7 Aug: The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) has provided humanitarian assistance of Rs 15.26 lakh to five flood-affected districts.

According to the IFCSAP, Papum Pare received Rs 2.05 lakh, Keyi Panyor Rs 3.50 lakh, Leparada Rs 3.14 lakh, Lower Siang Rs 3.40 lakh, and East Siang Rs 3.16 lakh.

The fund was raised through contributions from various IFCSAP district units across the state and the central IFCSAP, IFCSAP general secretary Maya Murtem said.

The distribution exercise, which began on 5 August, concluded on Friday with the final tranche of assistance handed over to the Leparada deputy commissioner by an IFCSAP team.

The IFCSAP thanked all district units, office bearers and well-wishers for their generous support. The society stated that the overwhelming response reflects the enduring indigenous values of mutual care, community service, and solidarity in times of distress.

Reaffirming its commitment, the IFCSAP said it would continue to stand with affected families and extend relief and support wherever needed.
