YACHULI, 4 Aug: A six-member delegation of the Keyi Panyor district unit of the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP), led by its president Toko Lento and general secretary Chukhu Epa, handed over a cheque for Rs 8,00,000 to Keyi Panyor Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra at the district secretariat here on Tuesday.
The amount was handed over towards relief and rehabilitation of families affected by the recent flash floods in the district.
The donation, mobilised through contributions from government employees and well-wishers, is intended to assist the victims of the devastating flash floods that affected Possa, NEEPCO Colony and adjoining areas of Keyi Panyor district.
The CoSAAP unit expressed gratitude to the central executive committee of the CoSAAP, led by Likha Tech, along with the federating district units of Namsai, Papum Pare, Lohit, Leparada and East Siang, for their generous contributions, guidance and unwavering support in making the humanitarian initiative a success.
The association also conveyed its appreciation to every government employee of Keyi Panyor district, irrespective of department, whose voluntary contributions reflected the spirit of compassion, solidarity and collective responsibility during this challenging time.
The deputy commissioner appreciated the noble initiative of the CoSAAP and acknowledged the generosity shown by employees and contributors from across the state.
She assured that the relief fund would be utilised in a transparent and judicious manner for the welfare, relief and rehabilitation of the genuine flood-affected families. (DIPR)
