PASIGHAT, 6 Aug: Demonstrating solidarity with families affected by the recent flash floods in East Siang district, the Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) on Wednesday donated Rs 3,16,350 to the district administration to support relief and rehabilitation efforts.

The cheque was handed over to Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani by an IFCSAP delegation led by its youth wing vice president Olom Perme.

The delegation also included IFCSAP East Siang unit president Omir Tatin, IFCSAP East Siang unit’s women’s wing president Omem Tamuk Gao, and IFCSAP East Siang unit general secretary Taken Payum.

The amount was contributed collectively by the IFCSAP East Siang unit (Rs 25,000), IFCSAP Upper Siang unit (Rs 34,850), IFCSAP Dibang Valley unit (Rs 51,000), IFCSAP Lohit unit (Rs 15,500), IFCSAP Namsai unit (Rs 1,20,000), IFCSAP Longding unit (Rs 20,000), and central IFCSAP (Rs 50,000), reflecting the organisation’s united commitment to supporting flood-affected families in East Siang.

Speaking on the occasion, the IFCSAP representatives expressed solidarity with the flood-affected families and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to extending support during times of crisis. They also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the East Siang district administration and all agencies engaged in relief and rehabilitation operations.

Receiving the contribution, the DC thanked the IFCSAP for its humanitarian gesture and acknowledged the organisation’s commitment towards community welfare. She stated that such collective efforts strengthen relief initiatives and provide meaningful assistance to families striving to rebuild their lives after the disaster.
