PASIGHAT, 3 Aug: In a display of Christian unity and compassion, different church denominations of East Siang district and Christians from the Adi belt came together to extend support to families affected by the recent devastating floods in East Siang and Lower Siang districts.

As an expression of love and solidarity, the Adi Christian Forum, led by its president Rev John St Borang, along with its executive members and the women’s wing, handed over financial assistance of Rs 1,04,300 to the Ramle Banggo Welfare Society for flood relief efforts in Lower Siang district.

In addition, the forum contributed Rs 80,000 to support flood-affected families of Ledum and Sido villages in East Siang district.

The collective effort has been widely appreciated as a symbol of unity, generosity, and humanitarian service, demonstrating the Church’s commitment to bringing hope and relief to communities in distress.
