NAMSAI, 18 Jul: Shiksha Samvaad, a dialogue platform under the Shikshagraha movement to promote education equity, was held for the first time in Changlang district on Saturday.
One of the main highlights of the samvaad was a talk between Changlang DC Vishal Sah and DDSE Rajiv Lamdok. They spoke about five critical leadership themes, and said that improving learning outcomes requires systemic alignment, collaborative governance, empowered schools, active community participation, and shared accountability.
Both the DC and the DDSE reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and creating an enabling environment where every child has access to quality education.
The programme also featured two thematic panel discussions that explored the role of partnerships and collective leadership in transforming public education.
The first panel, ‘Partners in Education Transformation’, brought together leaders from civil society organisations to discuss the importance of trust, shared ownership, and meaningful partnerships in advancing educational transformation.
Panellists highlighted how collaboration between government, civil society organisations, and local communities can create sustainable change and expand learning opportunities for children, particularly in underserved and remote areas.
The second panel, ‘Strengthening Alignment and Collective Accountability: Voices from the Education Ecosystem’, brought together block resource centre coordinators, school leaders, teachers, and school management committee representatives.
The discussion focused on translating policy into classroom practice through stronger instructional leadership, teacher empowerment, community engagement, and coordinated action across the education system.
The inaugural Changlang Shiksha Samvaad concluded with renewed optimism and a shared commitment among government agencies, educators, civil society organisations, community leaders, and development partners to translate dialogue into sustained action.
Former minister Komli Mossang, founder and chairperson of Arunachal Orphan Care Society Reena Longri, Diyun ZPM Chow Sache Singpho, block resource centre coordinators, headmasters, teachers, school management committee members, representatives of civil society organisations, and education partners from across the district attended the programme.
