DAPORIJO, 24 Jun: The land acquisition and assessment process for the proposed Mebigeko-Gerukamukh National Highway has commenced.
The Upper Subansiri district administration is conducting the process in coordination with the departments concerned and officials of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
Speaking to the media, Dumporijo ADC Otem Jamoh said the team has covered approximately 2 to 3 km from the 0.0 km point to Nuk village in the initial phase.
Stakeholders, including affected villagers, participated in the process and extended their cooperation to the officials.
Maro ZPM Takam Ropuk and Baririjo ZPM Marpe Haider were also present during the assessment and assured their full support to ensure the exercise is conducted smoothly and peacefully.
