ROING, 22 Jun: Three sub-health centres, in Kebali, Balek and Horupahar in Lower Dibang Valley district, which had been notified by the government in 2014, were inaugurated on Monday by MLA Mutchu Mithi.

He directed the department to stock all essential medicines at the sub-centres and urged villagers to cooperate with the Health Department for better delivery of health services at their doorsteps.

The MLA gave assurance that he would take up with the government the matter of sanctioning fund for infrastructure development of the sub-centres.

 Deputy Commissioner Fwwrman Brahma appealed to the parents and guardians to get their children aged 9 to 14 years vaccinated with the HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer.
