The Arunachal Pradesh government has made APST certificates compulsory for examinations conducted by the APPSC and APSSB. However, some students have alleged that they are facing difficulties while filling out examination application forms as the names of their tribes are not listed.

One such case involves the Meyor tribe, which has reportedly not been listed in the tribe column for the upcoming APPSC Combined Competitive Examination, making it difficult for Meyor students to complete the application process. One Meyor aspirant was quoted as saying that there was no option to select the tribe or choose "Others" in the application form.

Following the grievances, the APPSC office advised the aspirant to submit his ST and PRC certificates via email, for which he is yet to receive an acknowledgement.

The commission has to ensure that the paperwork is in place and in line with the government's decision to make ST certificates and other relevant documents mandatory for the examination. Aspirants should not have to deal with a complicated submission process while trying to complete their applications.
