TAWANG, 17 Aug: The district police here on Monday conducted a cleanliness drive at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Outdoor Stadium as part of its commitment to community policing and civic responsibility.
The stadium premises had accumulated considerable waste left behind after the Merag Lama Lodroe Gyatso Independence Cup 2026 Football Tournament on 15 August.
The police team, led by SP Tasi Darang, carried out an extensive cleanliness drive and collected a huge quantity of waste from different parts of the stadium premises.
The district police appealed to the people, particularly visitors to public places, to develop a sense of responsibility and ensure that waste is disposed of properly. (DIPRO)
