I would like to draw attention to the frequent and prolonged power cuts being experienced by the residents of Naharlagun, which have become a serious inconvenience for the general public.

Power supply is being interrupted repeatedly, causing difficulties for households, students, shopkeepers, offices and small businesses. During the summer months, when temperatures are high, prolonged power cuts make the situation particularly difficult, especially for children, elderly people and those working from home.

While maintenance of the power infrastructure is necessary, it is concerning that such maintenance work is being carried out during the peak summer period. The public deserves to know whether proper planning and scheduling could have prevented or reduced these disruptions. If maintenance is unavoidable, the department concerned should provide advance information regarding the timing and expected duration of power cuts.
