AALO, 16 Oct: The progress of various developmental and welfare schemes being implemented in West Siang district was discussed during a District Level Monitoring Committee meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mindo Loyi here on Friday.

Emphasis was laid on effective monitoring, timely execution, and improved service delivery.

Addressing the meeting, ZPC Nyali Bagra underscored the importance of coordination among departments, and called for greater transparency, accountability and efficiency to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner.

The DC in his address highlighted the challenges faced by various departments, and stressed the need for stronger monitoring, inter-departmental coordination and collective efforts to ensure effective implementation of welfare programmes and ongoing developmental projects. He directed all departments to identify bottlenecks, take necessary corrective measures at the earliest, and ensure timely execution of schemes and projects.

The meeting was attended also by zilla parishad members, heads of departments and heads of offices. (DIPRO)
