DAPORIJO, 16 Aug: The ongoing developmental activities, implementation of government schemes, and key infrastructure and public service-related issues across Upper Subansiri district were reviewed recently during a district-level development meeting held here.
During the meeting, representatives from various departments made detailed presentations on the status of ongoing works, implementation of government schemes, physical progress, pending issues, challenges being faced at the field level, and areas requiring inter-departmental coordination. The deliberations focused on identifying bottlenecks affecting the timely execution of developmental works and improving the delivery of public services.
Detailed discussions were held on the need for stronger coordination among departments, timely completion of sanctioned works, proper monitoring of projects at the field level, and ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
Officers were encouraged to identify practical solutions to implementation-related issues and maintain close coordination with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to expedite pending matters.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss sector-specific priorities, including infrastructure, road connectivity, water supply, power, rural development, agriculture and allied activities, education, healthcare, and industrial development.
DC Tasso Gambo stressed the importance of outcome-oriented implementation, with emphasis on visible improvements in public service delivery and the timely resolution of issues affecting the general public.
The DC reiterated that sustained development of Upper Subansiri requires collective ownership, coordinated action, and regular monitoring by all concerned departments. He urged all departments to work in close coordination, address bottlenecks proactively, and ensure the timely implementation of developmental programmes and projects.
Suggestions from Panchayati Raj representatives and other stakeholders were also taken into consideration during the deliberations, with emphasis on incorporating grassroots-level concerns into the district's development planning process.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Taniya Soki stressed the importance of close coordination among elected representatives, the district administration, and line departments.
He emphasised that developmental works should translate into tangible benefits for people at the grassroots level and called for timely execution, regular field-level monitoring, and effective resolution of bottlenecks. He also assured his continued support and cooperation towards development activities and improved public service delivery in his constituency and the district. (DIPRO)
