Editor,
With reference to the notification dated 6 July, 2026 regarding the first-level verification of applications for the post of assistant professor (education), we respectfully wish to draw the attention of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to an important issue concerning the verification of candidates’ academic qualifications.
It has come to our notice that certain candidates obtained their MA in education while simultaneously pursuing a regular PhD programme during a period when such simultaneous enrolment was not permissible under the applicable regulatory framework before the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
In view of this, we humbly request the commission to verify the year of admission, academic session, and duration of the MA (education) for each candidate, along with their UGC-NET certificate and PhD enrolment records, during the verification process. Such scrutiny will help ensure transparency, fairness, accountability, and compliance with the provisions of the UGC Regulations, 2018, particularly Table 3B, wherever applicable.
We sincerely hope that the commission will take appropriate steps to verify the authenticity and eligibility of the academic qualifications submitted by the candidates, thereby upholding the integrity, credibility, and fairness of the shortlisting process.
Concerned aspirants
