Editor,

The people of the 20th Tali area have appealed to Lok Sabha MP Kiren Rijiju, seeking urgent intervention and relief support for the flood-affected Tali and Pipsorang regions.

The recent flash floods in the Kumey river have caused extensive damage in the area. The Bailey bridge between Jha and Ruhi has been washed away, while the Yangte-Tali Kua bridge is under serious threat due to continuous riverbank erosion. Road connectivity between Tali and Pipsorang, Tali and Pija, and Tamen and Tali has also been severely affected, leaving several villages cut off and causing immense hardship to local residents.

The concerned citizens have requested an immediate special relief package and assistance through the MPLAD fund or any other appropriate central government scheme for the restoration of damaged roads, bridges, and other essential infrastructure.

Timely support and intervention would bring much-needed relief to thousands of people in the affected region.
