KHONSA, 22 Oct: The Tirap police organised a 'Run for Unity' short marathon here in the district on Thursday to promote national unity, integrity, and brotherhood, on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2026.
The initiative reaffirmed the spirit of national solidarity and the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as the National Unity Day.
The short marathon, led by SP Aditya, commenced from the Tini Ali Old Petrol Pump Welcome Gate, proceeded towards CK Road and the Army Camp, and returned to Khonsa, covering a distance of approximately 4 kilometres.
The event aimed to foster a sense of unity, discipline, and mutual understanding among participants, while spreading the message of peace, harmony, and national integration. (DIPRO)
