DAPORIJO, 3 Sep: Extending a helping hand, people from Taksing and nearby villages in Upper Subansiri district have voluntarily stepped forward to carry food and other essential supplies to Indian Army personnel deployed in the remote border areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Braving the rugged and challenging mountain terrain, villagers are transporting essential items by headload, as the area lacks motorable road connectivity. The difficult terrain and absence of road access have made the movement of supplies a challenging task, yet the villagers have continued their voluntary efforts in support of the troops stationed in the frontier region.

The initiative reflects the strong sense of patriotism and commitment of the local population towards the nation and the armed forces guarding the country's remote frontier.

The villagers said they are ready to extend whatever support is within their capacity to the Indian Army, considering it their responsibility and a mark of respect for the personnel serving in the difficult border areas.

The voluntary efforts of the Taksing community highlight the close bond between the local population and the Indian Army, particularly in the strategically important and geographically challenging frontier region.

Despite the hardships involved in carrying supplies through steep and difficult mountain trails, the villagers have demonstrated their willingness to stand alongside the troops and contribute to the nation's service in their own capacity.
