BOMDILA, 8 Jul: West Kameng district food safety officer Dr. Kesang Yeshi Tukshipa on Wednesday inspected fish markets at Tenga, Rupa and Bomdila to assess the quality, freshness, hygiene and safe handling practices of fish being sold to consumers.
The inspection, conducted as part of routine food safety surveillance and enforcement activities, focused on ensuring proper sanitary conditions and compliance with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
Dr. Tukshipa advised all food business operators to strictly adhere to good hygiene practices, maintain cleanliness in and around their establishments, and ensure that food products offered for sale are safe and fit for human consumption. (DIPRO)
