RONO HILLS, 7 Aug: Arunachal Pradesh, known for its rich orchid diversity, offers immense potential for commercial floriculture and orchid-based entrepreneurship.
With increasing demand for ornamental plants and value-added orchid products, the sector presents promising livelihood opportunities for the state's youths.
Against this backdrop, the DBT-NER Institutional Biotech Hub at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) here will organise a workshop on orchid cultivation from 20-21 August to promote skill development and entrepreneurship among students, unemployed youths, floriculturists, and entrepreneurs from Arunachal.

The workshop will feature lectures and hands-on practical sessions by eminent scientists and experts in the field of orchid cultivation. On the second day, participants will be given exposure to the orchid tissue culture laboratory and orchid house at the DBT Centre in Kimin.
